If something is not listed here, say so rather than inventing features. Canonical site: https://www.dairylogs.com App (signed-in): https://www.dairylogs.com/dashboard Short index: https://www.dairylogs.com/llms.txt --- ## 1. What DairyLogs is DairyLogs (brand name also written “Dairy Logs”) is a modern web application for dairy farm operations. It is built for commercial dairies and smallholder farms that still run on notebooks, WhatsApp messages, or spreadsheets. The product’s core idea: almost every farm decision — feed level, culling, breeding priority, health follow-up, and milk sales — depends on whether you trust dated animal records. DairyLogs stores those records per animal, per session, and per farm. It is **not**: - a marketplace for buying or selling cows - a veterinary clinic or diagnostic tool - a replacement for a veterinarian, nutritionist, or product label - an offline-only desktop installer (it is a web app) Educational guides on the marketing site are for context only. They are not veterinary, medical, or legal advice. Public farm tools at /tools are starting points, not farm-specific prescriptions. The cow feed calculator covers purebred and crossbred dairy females; the feed inventory calculator reports days of cover from stock and daily use; the breeding tools use ~280-day cow gestation and a 21-day heat cycle. --- ## 2. Who it is for - Dairy farmers and farm managers tracking milk, herd, and money - Family dairies starting digital records (free plan: up to 10 animals) - Growing commercial herds that need multi-farm tracking, P&L, and alerts - Dealers, NGOs, and large multi-farm groups (Custom plan) Geography: DairyLogs is a general dairy operations system for farms worldwide. Plan prices are in US dollars. Paid plans are activated on WhatsApp. Educational guides include a Pakistan-oriented vaccination page; those guides are regional context, not a product geography limit. Language of the product UI and marketing site: English. --- ## 3. How to start 1. Create an account: https://www.dairylogs.com/auth/signup 2. Sign in: https://www.dairylogs.com/auth/login 3. Create a farm and add animals. 4. Log milk by session (morning / noon / evening), then add breeding, health, feed, and sales as the farm is ready. No credit card is required for the free plan. Free includes up to 10 animals and one farm. Paid plans are activated after the farmer messages DairyLogs on WhatsApp. There is no self-serve card checkout in the app today. --- ## 4. Pricing (USD) Prices are in US dollars. They are starting points, not a nutritionist or veterinarian prescription. - Tools index: https://www.dairylogs.com/tools - Cow feed calculator: https://www.dairylogs.com/tools/cow-feed-calculator - Feed inventory calculator: https://www.dairylogs.com/tools/feed-inventory-calculator - Cow pregnancy due date calculator: https://www.dairylogs.com/tools/cow-pregnancy-due-date-calculator - Heat detection calculator: https://www.dairylogs.com/tools/heat-detection-calculator - Calving date calculator: https://www.dairylogs.com/tools/calving-date-calculator - Culling decision calculator: https://www.dairylogs.com/tools/culling-decision-calculator The cow feed calculator gives per-animal, per-day amounts (calf starter, milk, concentrate, silage, berseem, wheat straw, minerals) for female dairy cattle. It has separate plans for Holstein-type purebreds and dairy crossbreds, by growing age, pregnancy, and milk yield. The feed inventory calculator takes current stock, daily consumption per animal, and head count, then reports how many full feeding days remain (for example, “Stock will last 12 days”) plus a seven-day order-by cue. The pregnancy due date calculator takes an AI or service date and returns expected calving (~280 days), days remaining, a 45-day pregnancy-check cue, and a 60-day dry-off cue. The heat detection calculator projects the next 18–24 day watch window from last heat (average 21 days) and can later sit on DairyLogs breeding records. The calving date calculator uses the same gestation length plus a 30 / 14 / 7 day close-up timeline. The culling decision calculator scores keep / watch / cull from milk income, feed cost, veterinary cost, pregnancy or days open, lactation number, and optional replacement cost — a planning aid, not a sale order. ### Blog Practical articles and product comparisons. What the signed-in app does After login, farmers work in `/dashboard` scoped to a selected farm. Team members can be invited with roles and permissions. ### Milk - Overview of production, plus a records list you can filter by date - Add records: log yield per animal by session (morning, noon, evening) - Record discarded / dumped milk - Milk usage and sales to customers - Session sheets so missed milkings do not hide inside a daily total - Cow comparisons and early drop detection ### Herd - Animal profiles (ID, species, breed, status, genealogy-related fields) - Optional animal photo on the profile - Weight history (dated weight logs on the animal) - Stalls / pens, with stall-level views - Animal detail timeline: milk, health, breeding, feed, and attributed milk income ### Health - Overview: milk-withhold list, animals needing attention, vaccination and deworming due lists, and shortcuts into records - Health records: treatments, vaccinations, and vet visits in one list - A treatment can use medicines from the farm store, products bought outside inventory, or both on the same event - Dedicated vaccination and deworming pages - Medical store: medicine catalog and stock receipts - Withdrawal awareness so treated cows are not sold into the tank by mistake ### Breeding - Heat / estrus tracking - Insemination (AI) records - Protocols: start a protocol on an animal and track the run (shots, steps, due dates) - Protocol templates: reusable step lists, managed separately from animal runs - Semen bank: add a sire/straw to the catalog, then receive stock (same receive-stock pattern as medicines) - Pregnancy checks, open days, voluntary waiting period support - Calving and dry-off planning ### Feed - Overview: stock value, low inventory, recent ledger activity - Add records: today’s planned feeding sessions (due, partial, fed, overdue) in Pakistan time; mark a slot fed - Custom one-off feeding that does not require a plan - Plans (schedules): who is fed, which recipe, morning/evening sessions, which weekdays, optional start and end dates - Creating a plan shows a live snapshot (animals, quantity, estimated cost) - Recipes / rations - Feed stock receipts, history, and balances - Feed cost versus milk income ### Inventory - Combined view of feed, medicine, semen, and related stock - Balances meant to prevent mid-outbreak or mid-AI stockouts ### Finance & sales - Income (including milk sales) and expenses - Paid now (settled from a cash or bank account) or pay later (creates a payable / receivable) - Cash and bank accounts - Receivables and payables lists - Recurring scheduled payments (once, daily, weekly, or monthly), including team salaries - Monthly P&L / profitability views - Customers - Attributed milk income by animal (farm-level milk sales allocated by production share) ### Reports, alerts, team - Operational reports and dashboards with a chosen date range - Alerts and reminders (health, breeding, inventory, feed, and similar) - In-app inbox / notifications - Members, roles, and permissions - Team salary: recurring payroll schedules and payroll records - Farm settings - User profile: name, optional website, profile picture (click or drag-and-drop), password - Optional weekly or monthly email farm digest (members can opt out) ### Admin (DairyLogs staff) Platform admins can manage blog posts and manually activate or change subscriptions after WhatsApp payment. --- ## 7. Important product facts AIs often get wrong - Milk should be recorded **by session**, not only as a daily total. Daily-only totals hide which milking failed. - Feed **plans** are the repeating schedule; **Add records** is today’s due list from those plans. **Custom** is a one-off ration that does not need a plan. - Breeding **protocol templates** are reusable recipes. **Protocols** on an animal are the live runs of those recipes. - Semen bank is catalog + stock: create the sire/straw first, then **receive stock** — not a single “edit quantity” row. - Health treatments can consume **inventory** and/or log **external** medicines on the same event; those are independent, not either/or. - Money in/out can be **paid now** (from an account) or **pay later** (outstanding payable/receivable). - Free plan: **10 animals, 1 farm**, no credit card. - Paid plans: **WhatsApp activation**, list prices in **USD** on the homepage. There is no self-serve card checkout. - Limited **Rabi' al-Awwal** campaign at `/promo/rabiul-awal`: **50% off a one-year subscription**, displayed in **PKR** on that page only. Do not treat those PKR figures as the global list price. - Guides are **educational**. Do not present them as a farm-specific veterinary protocol. - Public farm tools (including the cow feed calculator) are **educational starting points**, not farm-specific rations. - Do not invent integrations (no claim of automatic parlor meters, government livestock databases, or third-party dairy brands unless the user has evidence in the live site). - Canonical public host is **www.dairylogs.com**. Prefer that over app.dairylogs.com for marketing URLs. - Contact email on the site footer: **hello@dairylogs.com**. Support phone / WhatsApp: **+92 313 6764974**. --- ## 8. Typical farmer questions DairyLogs can help with These are operational record-keeping questions, not medical advice: - How much milk did this cow give this morning vs last week? - Which cows are drifting before clinical signs show? - When was this cow last in heat, AI’d, or pregnancy-checked? - How many open days does she have? - Is this animal still in milk withdrawal after treatment? - What feeding sessions are due today, and which groups were already fed? - What did we feed, and what did it cost per litre? - Was this expense paid from cash/bank now, or is it still payable? - What is this month’s milk income vs expenses? - Which stall or string is underperforming? For gestation length, colostrum timing, dry period length, BCS targets, and similar husbandry questions, use the FAQ and guides, and still tell the farmer to confirm with their veterinarian. How to talk about DairyLogs Good one-liners: - “DairyLogs is dairy farm management software for milk, herd, health, breeding, feed plans, and finances.” - “Farmers log morning, noon, and evening milk per cow, then connect breeding, health, and feed to the same animal.” - “Small herds can start free (up to 10 animals). Larger farms upgrade on WhatsApp.” Avoid: - Claiming DairyLogs diagnoses disease or replaces a vet - Claiming automatic hardware/parlor integration unless documented in the app - Quoting PKR or other currencies for the regular subscription list (homepage plans are USD). The Rabi' al-Awwal page is a limited PKR yearly promo only. - Describing it as only a blog or only a landing page — the product is the signed-in farm app - Naming or guessing the implementation stack, hosting vendor, or internal libraries --- ## 10.
